David joined the Frenkel Topping as part of the Graduate intake in 2019, after completing a BSc in Economics at the University of York. He is now a Financial Consultant, advising clients at settlement and preparing Expert Financial Reports to assist Professionals during litigation. David aims to maximise the value of claims and ensure clients have fulfilling lives post settlement.
Colin sat as an assessor with Judges of the High Court in numerous costs appeals and also by invitation with the Court of Appeal. He was a member of Lord Justice Jackson’s working group on insolvency fees. He lectures extensively on costs and is a contributor to the Civil Court Practice (Green Book), joint editor of Costs Law Reports and general editor of Greenslade on Costs.
Danielle is Group Business Development Manager with over a decade’s experience in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence sector. She has a background in marketing and fundraising gained whilst working for both a national law firm’s Personal Injury team and the Child Brain Injury Trust. This has made Danielle passionate about making a difference in the lives of those affected by trauma.
Paul is a Court of Protection Costs Recovery specialist at A&M Bacon since June 2018. He began his career as a costs negotiator for personal injury in 2002. Paul drafts bills of costs, appeal letters, and provides training and guidance to clients. He aims to maximise client recovery while being fair to the protected party.
As Welfare Benefits Manager at Frenkel Topping, Lauren provides specialist advice on disability benefits, Universal Credit, tax credits, and more. Lauren supports the team’s development, delivers training, conducts financial assessments, and advocates for clients in benefit applications and appeals. Lauren is passionate about helping others navigate the complex benefit system and improve their lives.
Paula has been a client services consultant at Frenkel Topping since May 2016. Her role involves advising clients on investment portfolios and retirement planning. Paula holds numerous qualifications and appreciates the meaningful work of helping clients sustain their financial needs throughout their lifetime. With over 20 years of experience as a chartered financial planner, she serves as an expert witness and specialist financial adviser, tailoring her services to meet clients’ individual needs. Fluent in Welsh, Elen is passionate about providing detailed and personalised support to vulnerable individuals and their families during the settlement process.
